ISTQB® Certified Tester, Foundation Level Specialist – Automotive Software Tester

Apresentação

The Foundation Level Automotive Software Tester qualification is aimed at people who have already achieved a Foundation point in their careers in software testing and wish to develop further their expertise in Automotive Software Testing. The certification provides an advantage for those who would like to know the required Automotive activities, roles, techniques, and methodologies specific to their role.

Destinatários

This course is designed for professionals who are working within automotive projects and also for professionals who are planning  to start implementing special  automotive testing techniques in the near future, or are working within companies that plan to do so.

Objetivos

Foundation Level testers who have passed the “CTFL Automotive Software Tester Specialist” syllabus exam should be able to accomplish the following Business Objectives:

  • Collaborate effectively in a test team.
  • Adapt the test techniques known from the ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL®) to the specific automotive project requirements.
  • Consider the basic requirements of the relevant automotive standards (Automotive SPICE®, ISO 26262, etc.) and select suitable test techniques.
  • Apply the virtual test methods (e.g. HiL, SiL, MiL, etc.) in test environments.

Pré-requisitos

To be able to participate in the CTFL® Automotive Software Tester exam, candidates must have obtained the ISTQB® Foundation Level certificate.

Norms and standards for testing E/E systems

  • Automotive SPICE (ASPICE)
  • ISO 26262
  • AUTOSAR
  • Comparison of objectives ASPICE and ISO 26262 / comparison of test levels

Testing in virtual environments

  • Test environment in general (motivation for test environments in the automotive industry, general parts of a test environment, difference between Closed Loop and Open Loop, essential interfaces, databases, and communication protocols of control units)
  • Testing in XiL test environments (Model in the Loop (MiL), Software in the Loop (SiL), Hardware in the Loop (HiL))

Automotive-specific static and dynamic testing methods

  • Static methods (MISRA-C:2012 programming standards)
  • Dynamic testing methods (condition testing, multiple conditions testing, modified condition decision testing, back-to-back testing, fault injection testing, requirements-based testing, context-dependent selection of testing methods)
